If your team has one technical person and you want privacy, cost control, or complex AI workflows. Self-host for free or pay for cloud.
Bogdan's take
n8n is my default for any automation with AI in it. The free self-hosted option means you can run unlimited workflows at the cost of a $5/month VPS. Zapier becomes expensive fast when you're running AI at scale.
